The Science Behind The Success Calendar™ There are a number of
psychological habits which keep us from obtaining what we want. The most simple way
to overcome these psychological habits is to set a goal and take regular action toward
its achievement.
- Psychologists say...
- SMART Goals
Psychologists say that to incorporate change in your life there are a few specific
strategies to overcome humans natural tendency to keep doing the same things:
- State your goal in terms of either an event or a behavior. Write it down and make it
clear. When you use The Success Calendar you are forced to keep it short, sweet and
specific.
- State your goal so that progress can be measured. The Success Calendar features a
grid for tracking your daily progress. By nature of the calendar, the goals you set
will be measurable, fulfilling another major requirement for effective goal setting.
- State your goal within a time frame. Again, the daily tracking nature of the calendar
guides you to set goals within a time frame.
- State your goal in terms of smaller steps. The Success Calendar leaves the Goals
area intentionally short allowing just enough room for stating the smaller steps
towards your larger goals.
- State your goal to the someone else to create accountability. By hanging The Success
Calendar on your wall, you are creating accountability by displaying your daily
progress to your co-workers or family.
SMART Goals is an acronym for a simple, yet very effective method of achieving
your goals. This method has been around for many years, and applies to The Success
Calendar:
